National Museum of Scotland - Connect Gallery

The National Museum of Scotland is packed with loads of hands-on stuff for families to do. You can ‘Discover Science’ with the University of Edinburgh - make a crazy monster, like Mike and Sully from Pixar Animation Studio’s Monsters, Inc. or meet nature’s Superheroes and learn how to walk on ceilings and jump over tall buildings. See TV’s favourite scientist Dr Bunhead, back with his Exploding Brain Show, meet our robots that clean houses and discover how Cosmonaut’s eat their dinner in outer space. You can also discover science behind the scenes at the museum and explore a different topic each day from archaeology to zoology. Meet museum staff, see objects and specimens not usually on display and find out about the science used to preserve, identify and investigate!
