The Royal College of Physicians is one of the foremost international providers of medical education and information. The College was founded in 1681. Part of the building was designed by Robert Adam and dates back to 1771. It is home to one of the oldest medical libraries in the world with 50,000 volumes some dating back to the 15th century. During the Science Festival, the ESRC Innogen Centre will be hosting a discussion with Professor Joyce Tait, CBE on the possible success and complications of personalised medicine “New Drugs, New Benefits - The Future of Biopharmaceuticals”

How to get there
The Conference Centre is accessed from the main entrance to the College on Queen Street. It is five minutes walk from the St Andrew’s Square Bus Station and ten minutes walk from Waverley Station.
