The Lecture Theatre is accessed via 20a Inverleith Row which is 200m beyond the East Gate entrance to the Garden.

Events at the Lecture Theatre

The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is over 330 years old and an integral part of the city’s heritage. Affectionately known as ‘the Botanics’, it is a place for everyone – from every walk of life – to discover, enjoy and learn. The Botanics is one of the most popular visitor attractions in Scotland, as well as being a world class centre for research, science and horticulture.

Open daily from 10am to 7pm throughout the Festival
Admission to the garden is FREE.

Charges apply to the Glasshouses: Adults £3.50, Concessions £3, children £1. Families (2 adults and up to 4 children) £8.

Refreshments

The Terrace Café serves daily a delicious selection of high quality hot and cold food for all tastes. Open 10am until 5.30pm daily

There will be a small café within the Exhibition Hall. Open 11am – 4.30pm daily.

By car: The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is off the A902, one mile north of the city centre. On street parking is available at the West Gate (Arboretum Place), parking meter restrictions apply on weekdays.

By bus: There are regular bus services from the city centre (8, 17, 23 or 27) to the East Gate (Inverleith Row). Majestic Bus Tour to the West Gate (Arboretum Place).
